That’s really only tangentially related to my point. The reason I said that is not because he posted a Pit thread when a GD thread exists, but because he posted this thread after the situation had changed, which he’d have known had he read the GD thread. If it were still relevant, I wouldn’t really care if there was a related thread in every forum.
In any case, I was just throwing those up as examples of Clothahump actually acknowledging he goofed; the actual words wouldn’t really matter.
Things were so much better when we had “The Decider”. He was never wrong. There was no need to question him (or give him accurate information) and he never wavered after making a decision because . . .
. . . well, just because. “The Decider” never needed to be questioned no matter how dire the consequences. If he said it was right, then dammit, it had to be right! That was the beauty of “The Decider”.
shrug Believe it or not, not everyone here reads GD. That doesn’t help your argument; it’s still implying that a poster should scour all the forums before he posts. I could be equally as likely to Pit something already shown to be wrong in MPSIMS, 'cause I rarely read it.
Then, when it was pointed out to me, I’d feel like a fool, and would most likely acknowledge that, but it wouldn’t change the fact that my Pit was an acceptable thread start.
Well, it’s not like that information is only available in the GD thread. That said, what makes this funny isn’t that the OP read an out of date report and went off half-cocked before finding out that his outrage is no longer relevant. What makes it funny is that the OP is Clothahump, and that he does this all the time.
That’s a serious insult to Reeder. Reeder (RIP) was a good person, who genuinely cared about people, and was against Bush because the things Bush was doing were hurting people, AND he turned out to be right about practically everything. He was bitching about things that the rest of the world caught up to a couple or so years later!
Humpy doesn’t give a shit about anybody or the truth.
Pshaw. It’s a perfectly valid comparison. Clothahump and Reeder both post(ed) knee-jerk responses to whatever stimuli tickle(s/d) their neurons. Reeder was hardly the only poster who was right, he was just the most asshole about it, and he paid the price.
Actually, his thread in ATMB about starting an in memoriam forum was probably the most valid, even if the admins did go for an in memoriam sticky instead.
Did Obama backpedal on it? Sure he did, once he found out it would bite him in the ass politically. But that’s not the point.
You clowns can make fun of me all you want. I pay about as much attention to your yapping as I do stray dogs in the street. However, stop to ponder this. Not a single goddamn one of you pack of idiots even considered this concept: the fact that Obama even thought of doing this in the first place was outrageous and totally immoral. And for that, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
I posted what I did specifically because I care. What Obama tried to do was unethical and immoral. But that whooshed straight over your head. Either that, or you closed your eyes to it, and I don’t know which is worse: the fact that you were too stupid to see it or too immoral to care.
Do you even listen to yourself, or read what you write? How could you know nobody considered it if you don’t pay any attention?
Frank might be willing to cut you slack for not seeing the GD thread, but if you’re willing to condemn people based on your own preconceptions, then I’m not. You’re a goddamn retard.
Cloth, please stop the partisan Kool Aid drinking phoney outrage bullshit. For the past several years it was what:
We’re at war. Support the troops. Support the president because he IS the president. My country right or wrong. Whatever the president does is legal (sorta like Nixon?). Love it or leave it. Find the traitors. All sorts of flag waving superpatriot bullshit.
Now that there is someone else in the White House, you feel a need to reverse all the fine upstanding patriotism you used to demand from others.
You need to shut the hell up. You are a damn hypocrite.
