It’s a bad joke. That said, Obama didn’t nominate himself. What’s he supposed to do, say no? I’m no fani of his and he really hasn’t done much of anything to warrant this or really much of any of the praise he receives. Still, he just has to accept and move on. It wasn’t like he was lobbying for it. Give a cool speech, donate the money to charity and move on I say.

To justify the Iraq fiasco by suggesting that we were somehow morally duty bound to rescue the Iraqi people from *their own culture and/or religion *displays an arrogance, an insensitivity, and an extreme version of ethnocentricism that I thought was (today at least) reserved for those few people who bear the name Cheney.
Frightening, really.

I am spluttering away here. I really don’t know how to even begin to respond to a post of such blatant, open minded pig stupidity. You lit the house on fire, and now when it stands burning its the fault of “everyone else” because they don’t send enough firemen to fight it for you?
Even when they begged you not to play with matches, they pleaded with you to throw away the lighter, they even took away all the flamable liquids from you they could - they did everything to stop you bar locking you into a straight jacket its still their fault for not doing enough.

I don’t think he should have won it. We are in 2 wars and he is discussing escalation in Afghanistan. That just does not seem very peaceful to me.
We never discuss the contractors he already has in Afghanistan. He still is paying tons to the Blackwaters to wreak havoc and terrify the populace.
