Obscure '80s actor, HELP!

I’ve been searching for this particular actor forever but I can’t remember his name! IMDB is no help and I’ve looked through THOUSANDS of images online and NOTHIN’.

He’s an English actor, has blonde wavy hair, kind of a gaunt face, raspy voice, ALWAYS played the bad guy and I’m pretty sure he’s been on an episode or two of the original Battlestar Galactica. It isn’t Richard Lynch, but he’s kind of the same vein of actor, always playing the villain. He’s been in tons of B movies and TV shows from the late '70s to the late '80s but I can’t remember his name and it’s driving me NUTS.

There’s a certain sci-fi/horror movie he was in a long time ago that I’m looking for as well, but of course I can’t remember the title of that either, but if I find out this guy’s name I just might be able to track it down.

Anybody got any ideas?

Can you tell us more about the movie you’re sure he was in? Maybe someone will recognize the movie and we can discover the actor from that angle.

Hmm. Maybe Matthias Hues, who played the evil alien in I Come in Peace?

Or Brion James, who played the bad guy in Steel Dawn?

The only other 80s villain I can think of is Michael Des Barres, who played Murdoc on MacGyver.

He doesn’t fit many of your criteria, but Rutger Hauer looks a bit like Richard Lynch. Are you thinking of him?

BSG-TOS is on Netflix. Watch it through (if you can stand it) and spot the ep, and IMDb should have the answer.

These are all REALLY good guesses but so far no luck :frowning: The movie that I’m thinking of is kind of similar to “Event Horizon” and has startlingly good special effects for what was more or less a B movie… Almost like a Poltergeist in space. AGH! This is driving me crazy!

It’s kind of like Event Horizon, and has an unusual name for a horror movie like “Stardust” or something (I checked, Stardust isn’t it).

Went through the list and nothing rang a bell, I might be mistaken about him being on BG, but if you watched TV in the '80s I GUARANTEE you’ve seen this guy. He was always playing the bad guy, or a terrorist, or a satanic cult leader, etc.
