I see a lot, probably more than many people because one of my jobs in the far and distant past required me to be real observant, something I’ve never forgotten.
So, I’m starting this threat of observations. Feel free to add your own.
Ever notice how in today’s society, most ‘humorous’ product commercials display white guys as being around early 30’s, pot bellied, wearing sports clothing and acting stupid while similar commercials with ‘minorities’ display them as being wise and athletic?
With more people flying today than ever before, with aircraft steadily aging, has anyone wondered why the FAA ‘recommends’ safety changes to these transports that are ignored with no repercussions? Like most over seas flights do not carry life rafts for use in the event of a water landing, though the FAA has strongly suggested that they need to.
Ever notice how black female rock stars are getting prettier, changing the sound and sight of rap music, becoming more sophisticated while the male black singers are getting uglier, nastier and acting about as dumb as stumps?
Whatever happened to white basketball superstars?
What do the infamous English Soccer Hooligans say about the English people in general and why are there not more stringent penalties in place for these people who promote attempted murder and destruction of property?
Is it just me, but in stores like Kmart and Walmart, when one observes a woman of heavy proportions, of any race, the shorter the hair, the bigger the girth, and the bigger the girth, the nastier the mouth?
In wandering through a grocery store a few weeks ago, I chanced upon a scrawny male child, pasty white in hue, oddly shaven head, baggy of clothing, mostly in dark colors walking around with an attitude too big for his 12 (I think) year old frame and loudly mouthing back his frustrated mother. After observing him bumping into older people deliberately, mouthing off at a few irritated customers, peeling prices off of racks and goods and just being a s**t, I happened upon him alone and temporarily out of sight of his parent, squeezing bags of chips to break up the contents and placing them back on racks.
Since no one was within sight, I found it necessary to grab the little fellow by the baggy front of his shirt – which felt surprisingly expensive -, pull his face close to mine and strongly suggest that if he did not knock off being a 'st’, that I personally was going to rip his head off and st down his neck. Then I released him with vigor and went about my business.
He stayed rather close to his mom after that and was a good boy until they left. Think I was wrong?
There are no honest county tax collectors in the US.
In China, in a group therapy session, they tried to convince a chronic wife beater that committing violence upon his diminutive wife was wrong. After many sessions, he continued to beat her, until during one meeting, the entire group fell upon him, and beat him as badly as he did his wife. Afterwards, he did not beat her again. I consider this excellent therapy for the many spouse beaters we have in this nation, only I suggest it be administered by huge, irritated, muscular cops on a back road, at night, someplace where the screams cannot be heard. Agree?
A sudden change for the better in a person’s lifestyle, who has been suffering chronic depression, has been noted to be more effective than psychiatric or medicine therapy in some cases. Say, someone who is living on $12,000 a year, paying gobs of bills, working their butt off and who suddenly wins a lottery for 2 million. This enforces my theory that environmental influences enforce and increase the instances of depression in most cases, undermining the affect of the antidepressant drugs and hours of therapy.
Little kids are not always prone to tell the truth when questioned by Important People, like cops, social workers or psychiatrists. They can and have not only lied for apparently no reason at all, but embellished such lies.
People who write books and make movies describing ways to commit crimes, avoid the law, easily kill and how not to leave traces have no social conscience and should be held liable for influencing those who copy their teachings. The same goes for video game designers who create games where killing officers of the law, average citizens and promoting violent criminal activity as fun should also be held accountable for their actions.
Hackers who release destructive viruses should be faced with long, hard, brutal jail terms. Hackers who insist on trying to compromise the computers of national security, major banking institutions and medical systems should be given a choice of 15 years to life in jail or a lobotomy or be turned over to a raving mob made up of all of the people they messed with, armed with clubs, for 5 minutes.
There is such a thing as being too understanding over the world situations.
Profit, in a business, is good. More profit is better. Too much profit is destructive and leads to far too much power and too much power corrupts. When a person concentrates only on profit, they loose their humanity. When they loose their humanity, they become antagonistic towards the human race.
Most women consider rape a fate worse than or close to death while many, many men consider it no where’s near as serious as ‘they’ make out. Many men have a problem in comprehending just how a woman feels concerning rape, violent or otherwise. This might be explained by the popularity in porno film markets of rape (fake) films and films concerning rough sex or bondage.
Reflecting on the above might give one an inkling as to why male dominated governments of the world cannot get along very well and why Congress will not police itself.
What you perceive in a situation is not necessarily exactly what the person next to you perceives. You have not lived their life, nor they, yours.
