I dunno, they seem to be gaining quite a bit of ground. The world does not always progress (see dark ages) sometimes it shifts into reverse and slam on the accelerator.
Nothing would vitalize the OWS movement more than some serious police brutality. Americans LOVE being the underdog fighting against corrupt authority. A couple of NYPD beatdowns and the OWS movement would cover the entire financial district.
You don’t want to be in it when the cops come down. The brutality is mind boggling, but it feels like the cops are enjoying it. That in unnerving.
The police have brutally busted up several occupations already. There will be more.
