I sort of enjoyed the **Ocean 11 ** remake, mainly because I think Matt Damon is purty This drivel, **Ocean 12 **, is a train wreck. What were they thinking? How many egos does it take to make a film? It looks as if the cast(star studded) is having a great time, but I sure wasn’t watching it. Belch
I’m really looking forward to seeing it as I thoroughly enjoyed the remake and am a fan of Clooney, Pitt, Damon, and Zeta-Jones.
What exactly didn’t you like about it?
The Plot
There isn’t much of one.
Go see it for a lark, it has certain moments, and all the pretty boys.
Well, most heist movies don’t have very intensive plots and I liked the original mostly for its atmosphere, cinematography, and cast anyway. I know the last is still the same, are the first two as well?
Saw it today. It was horrible.
This movie is out!?! I must go see it tomorrow!
AAAAAHHHHHHH.
Ocean’s 11, with the pretty boys, is one of my favorites.
Why do I open these threads?
With 66 out of 107 reviews so far, Rotten Tomatoes is barely giving it a “fresh” rating of 62%. This may change as other reviews are compliled.
This is the first time I can ever think of where I really felt that Rotten Tomatoes lied to me. This movie was AWFUL. The plot was hilariously full of holes, the pacing was such that the film felt slapped together. There were Deus Ex Machinas out the wazoo. And for some reason, many of the little lines that were obviously supposed to be funny were tossed off so casually that I couldn’t understand them. Just a big disappointment.
It was so bad, it gave you gas?
Oh, all right, I’ll be the Sole Dissenter.
I liked it. No, it’s not as good as 11, but what is? A few phoned-in performances, a lot of in-jokes, a bit too much Catherine Zeta-Jones, but it was fun to watch and I enjoyed it.
 No such thing, brutha!
Perhaps if I explain that I’m a sistah, my opinion might make more sense?
Lot’s of gorgeous rich people (and a few unknowns) having fun in exotic locales, what’s not to like? That’s what “the movies” was invented for. It’s not trying to be Schinler’s List, so don’t cry when it’s not.
I saw it today, it was fun. It wasn’t a Great Movie, but it wasn’t meant to be. It was meant to be a fun movie, and I think it did that just fine.
Oh, and
Go, Bruce Willis! The Julia Roberts/Bruce Willis thing was great.
I guessed right on who the woman who questioned Linus was, too.
Booooooooo!
that is all.
I thought it was a lot of fun. Certainly the plot this time 'round was just a scaffolding for the cast to have fun and make jokes, but I knew that going in, and it didn’t stop me from laughing most of the way thru.

I guessed right about Linus’ mom, but early on I thought for sure that CZJ was not only a detective, but was also The Night Fox. They seemed to drop hints towards that, like when she told Rusty Ryan that he needed to find out who he pissed off, and apologize.
