And this is why Hoover is the best name ever for a dog.
Ummmm… let’s see. Well, I got new cutains a few months back, and the cats have been hard at work climbing them and attacking them so I don’t have to spend hours pulling the threads myself for that “shaggy old curtain” look.
I don’t know if that counts as a good thing. The cats assure me it does.
I suffer from insomnia but no matter how I try, I can’t stay awake when my cat is lying on my chest purring. This is great at night when I usually can’t sleep, and terrible in the middle of the day when I lay on the couch to “read for 5 minutes”.
The little black cat may not be the brightest star in the sky, but she’s a fantastic fly catcher. And since she’s not so terribly clever, she never gets bored… she’ll just stalk a fly around the house all day until it lands low enough for her to grab and eat. The smarter cat gets sick of tracking them after 15 minutes or so.
The biggest added bonus I’ve noticed from having The Amazing Velcro Cat around is having to go to the vet’s a lot, him being a bit of a brawler (he’s actually a soccer hooligan in a cat suit, I sometimes think).
So where’s the benefit? Well, one of the local vets is pretty damned cute. I figure, two more catfights and I’ll know him well enough to ask him out.
