I haven’t noticed it. Did you watch something that YouTube thought was pro-Trump-adjacent enough that it thought you were interested in that sort of thing?
The fact that they are pro-Trump may have nothing to do with it. If you’re in the habit of watching political YouTube videos, more will be recommended to you. If Trump political videos are proliferating and drawing many views the algorithm will bump them up in popularity and start recommending them more. The confluence of those two strands then slops over into your feed.
Probably. The ways of the mighty algorithm are slightly mysterious (and proprietary, I’m quite sure). It could also be shenanigans of various sorts. Some may not necessarily be YouTube’s fault directly, but the algorithm being manipulated, poor ignorant naif that it is.
But my default guess would always be to assume accident over malice, but with a watchful eye out for potential maliciousness.

I was going to chime in to agree with Tamerlane’s post, but then I considered my own feed.
While you could say that I have viewed political subjects quite a bit, very few are PRO-Trump; just the opposite, and that’s what I get. This suggests that viewer bias is indeed a part of YT’s algorithm. There must be something else going on here.
