I’ve always wanted to see this, but maybe not anymore.

Ben Carson played himself, sort of, in a comedy movie called Stuck on You.
John Cleese as the sheriff in Silverado: “Today, my jurisdiction ends here!”
Dan Aykroyd as a code breaker in Pearl Harbor
Gene Hackman as the Blind Monk in Young Frankenstein
Dan Aykroyd as a fussy British airline official in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: Dan Aykroyd in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" - YouTube
It was fantastic
In “Elvis Has Left the Building,” Tom Hanks has a cameo as a dead guy. All you see is about 1 1/2 second of a head in a mailbox.
Not ALL. He was also the founder and namesake of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, which some people consider to be an evil organization.
Maybe not the oddest but one of the weirdest was Bob Keeshan playing himself in The Stupids. It makes a bit more sense if you know that the main plot is Mr. Stupid trying to prove that Mr. Keeshan is the head of some vast conspiracy.
I thought it was pretty strange that they managed to get Christopher Lloyd to appear on The Simpsons and all he does is his Jim Ignatosky imitation.
That wasn’t that much more surprising than Christopher Lloyd appearing on The Big Bang Theory as a character somewhat like his character on Taxi.
You know typecasting is rough when your IMDB credit list is filled with non-stop work and you’ve done several hundred episodes of prime time TV in the main cast, yet most people think all you do is reprise your most famous role from 25 years ago.
When this was posted Patrick was in the middle of a 93 episode run of Scorpion, which was not that long after 69 episodes on The Unit, and he had 4 other double digit episode runs on other shows, not counting his 40 episodes on the X-Files. Plus, he’s had about 35 film roles in the past 15 years. I didn’t even know about his 3 appearances on The Sopranos.
Kristen Wiig in Mother, where she makes a 30 second appearance to shoot people in the head.
Believe it or not, Tom Cruise was in Young Guns… and he died!
To be fair, I’m trying very hard to forget the utter Walter wankfest that is Scorpion.
Also: what, no references to the cameos by Matt Damon, Sam Neill and Hemsworth the Lesser in Thor: Ragnarok? Comedy freaking gold, right there.
There was also Cruise’s cameo in the second Austin Powers movie, spoofing his MI antics. (Apologies if this one has been mentioned upthread.)
Is Cruise’s almost-unrecognizable role as a bigshot Hollywood producer in *Tropic Thunder *small enough to be considered a cameo?: - YouTube
Katie Couric played a prison guard in Austin Powers Goldmember
Matt Damon’s cameo in Eurotrip singing “Scotty Doesn’t Know” may be the most famous scene from this movie
Rather long onscreen time to be called a “cameo” but what in the hell was Dick Cavett doing in Beetlejuice?
