Odie has got the pox!!!

Chicken pox that is…so please post here to cheer up our favourite, quarantined Canuck!!!

{{{Odieman}}} (I have had chicken pox, so that’s safe for me, BTW)

Had 'em when I was six. Not a pleasant experience. {{{Odie}}} Feel better.

Oh poor baby, that is a misery indeed.

Don’t scratch it, please.

Oatmeal baths are very soothing. You can buy Aveeno or you can just make your own by puting oatmeal in a blender and making a flour with it.

You’ll feel better soon. The good part is that you can’t get it twice.

Odie, honey, I feel bad for you. Please get better so you can come down to MN for the Dopefest next month and we can, well, you know, eat chicken wings n’ play pinball n’ stuff.

Robin

Aww, poor Odie! Chicken pox are no fun. But at least most adults have had them, so you won’t have to be totally shunned, right?

I’m picturing you all covered in that pink anti-itch stuff… heehee! Don’t scratch, and get lots of rest!

Poor Odie. :frowning: You’re not too sick to go to chat, are you?

P-lague???

(sorry, Yellowbeard reference)

get better soon Odie!

I can’t really give Odie any decent advice, seeing as I have never had chicken pox, and never will. But, my sister had them, and although I was -5 years old at the time, I think I remember the basics about it.
Don’t scratch, andstay away from people who don’t have it (unless you don’t like them;))
Well, good luck with them. We all feel your pain (except me.)

Hope you’re feeling better in a hurry, odieman. Let me know if there’s anything I can do in the meantime.

And stay away from my daughter.

OOOOHHH Odie - you poor poor person.

I certainly know how that feels, I got chicken pox at 22 and had an awful time.

I suggest lots of ointment and heaps of board time to while away the hours of confinement!!!

Take care Odie

((((((((Odie))))))))))

Unclean! Unclean!*

ahem Sorry, just had to let that out.

Odie, sweetie, if you have not been to a doctor, get over there immediately. Chicken pox is a hell of a lot worse in adults than in kids, and for kids it’s miserable. One of my close friends got it in college and spiked a fever of 106. Ended up taking her nearly two months to recover. Bad bad bad. What’s more, it can transform into a chronic condition (shingles, I think) that affects the nerves. More bad.

So, get to the doctor, mister!

Preview, goddammit! Preview!

Poor [bOdieman**. Keep your chin up and get better soon.

Thank you for the kind words…I will still trade my body to anyone who wants it  Yes the first thing I did was go to the doctor, the great thing about having a contageous disease is you get to see him NOW w/o making an appointment. It isn’t itching too bad right now, I had a baking soda bath and I will be trying the Aveeno later. Unfortunately I have a large number of poxes, if I played connect the dots my body would be covered in ink. The worst part is that it hurts to comb my hair…so i’m rather unkempt right now, I wouldn’t be going out even if I could…

Oh well, I think I will make it through this, but I wouldn’t want to wish this on anyone

Keith

Oh, poor Odie…
I hope you feel better soon.
But stay away from me, I aint never had 'em either.

Rose

Anyone for a game of connect the dots?

Sending love and hugs to my favorite Odieman!

Get well soon, sweetie!

Cheri

Oh, my poor poor virtual husband!
I’ve had 'em, so I’m not worried.
{{{{{{{{{Odieman}}}}}}}}}
And fergawdssakes, keep yer mitts away from the little poxy things!

[CanadianSue - that is so sick. Funny, but sick.]

I had an adult friend who had chicken pox, so I bought him a pre-wrapped gift basket with a stuffed animal. It wasn’t until I got to his house that I realized the cute toy dog was a Dalmatian. He took it well, though.
