Of course a nine-year-old girl can handle a Uzi, right?

Probably the same meaning as “well regulated” in the Constitution where “well” apparently means “almost not at all”.

Oh well, I was already going to hell for laughing at some of the other comments earlier in the thread.

And under no circumstances whatsoever are they *ever *fired without the stock open and pressed to the shoulder or hip. I mean, for fuck’s sake. It may have been 21 years since I qualified on the Uzi, but at least I remember that.

I feel so sorry for that little girl.

All of the other issues aside, it’s insane to go from ONE practice shot to full-automatic. Had he done that with other people that he was “instructing?”

Maybe he just thought it was funny to see a little girl go full-Rambo or something.

Well, they made sure I was able to handle such a weapon in single-fire mode safely before going to “full auto”. Not just fire it once, then “get 'r done!”.

“Well regulated” in the Second Amendment arguably meaning “in good working order”, instead of “lots of regulations”.

Well, as there’s a video, someone was thinking of YouTube humor.

Joke’s on them.

Knock off the personal insults.

Fair cop. Will do.

No, her life isn’t fucking ruined. She’ll get over it.

How long did it take you to get over the guy you killed when you were 9?

Huh? Your comments have made no sense. A firearm assigned to adult women by the IDF is considered a ‘girl’s weapon’? Girl’s weapons are like, fairy wands to turn their little brothers into unicorns, or whining to accompany their big brother while he walks to the store with his girlfriend. That sort of thing.

Israelis are a tougher bunch than most nationalities.

I started out with a .22 semi-automatic rifle and a .22 Colt revolver when I was twelve. I can’t imagine my father thinking it would have been a good idea to hand me an Uzi. I really hope these kinds of ranges take a good hard look at their policies and raise the minimum age.

I’m not a lawyer so in this context I’m not sure what possess means in a legal sense. If a buddy and mine are plinking at cans on the family farm with my .22 is the rifle still in my possession if I let him take a few shots? I still own it. We’re still on my property. I don’t believe the laws should prevent everyone but the owner from firing the weapon. But then I can scarcely believe someone would think it’s a great idea to hand an Uzi to a little girl.

Ok. Just for you - it’s considered a “womyn weapon”.

Right. Because since stupidity got us into this mess it’s up to stupidity to get us out. Stop helping Scumpup, please.

Ugh, this story is so awful.

I learned gun safety at about age 9. I also learned to shoot small rifles (BB guns and a .22). All under VERY close supervision by my father (who also learned to shoot at a very young age and had been in the military as well).

But at no time did my dad say, “Hey, let’s give you a fully automatic AK-47.” Because he’s not an idiot.

And the parents were idiots, as was the “instructor”. Idiots.

The instructor deserves a Darwin Award.

Oops – sorry, the OP already said it!!! But it’s true!!

It’s only because of the Hello Kitty paint job…

Heh, allegedly, the Israelis have phased it out for use with their armed forces, as “antiquated”. They now use the Tavor.

This caught my eye:

Macho in the US = girly in Israel?
