Anything I should know before I begin updating the staff with our license willy nilly from Office 2000?
We did an update at work. Went very smoothly; we even were able to do it remotely. Very few snags or problems: 2003 is close enough to 2000 that there’s practically no learning curve.
The only confusion was finding the program. The desktop link pointed to 2000, and Office 2003 products are down a level on the menu from where Office 2K was. But at most that was a momentary confusion.

Any link on remote updating? I resume that’s on Win XP.
