Just last week I was Morkfromork. Had I known when I registered that I was going to stick around for a little while, I’d have put more thought into a moniker.
I feel the same way about my name, Standup Karmic. Yours is pretty cool, by the way.
Thanks. It feels like a nice, warm blanket that I can wrap myself in, while Morkfromork just felt like sandpaper that I was using to “shave” my naughty bits.
Nice imgery there, Standup Karmic. I like your new name, by the way… it does sound nicer than your old one. (not that the old one wasn’t, but y’know… this one sounds more euphonious and melodically pleasing to the ear when I say it in my head)
I think mine doesn’t really need to be changed… it’s a nickname for myself that I’ve had for many years now.

I was once javaman, but, along with several others, got temporarily banned by Manhattanfor getting political in GQ.
I didn’t like being banned, but I did come to understand why it had happened and where I had crossed the line. Manhattan was happy to welcome me back once I promised to reform so in the end it was a positive experience. This, then, is my farewell salute to him…a fair, tough, and most capable moderator who did his best to preserve the essence of GQ.
Anyway, I decided to change my name when I was reinstated.
