OFFICIAL Third Debate 10/19/16 Thread

You’re giving him too much credit. “You’re a puppet.”

I doubt he even remembers saying it. He seems to just toss out whatever crosses what passes for his mind at the moment and then moves on to the next.

Damn this thread is moving fast!
My only concern with him not conceding is how much it riles up his base and in what form is that riling ultimately expressed.
I think if the election were closer, it would be more of an issue. But Trump is getting absolutely trounced. It’s a stretch to imply that alllll of these polls are way off base and then somehow the election is rigged when it accurately reflects the poll numbers. I think even Trump’s supporters know that is ridiculous. They will probably settle with ‘‘he lost because the media was biased against him.’’

Probably.

I think we can put Trump solidly in the Chaotic Evil grouping now.

He probably even spelled “you’re” wrong when he said it.

But one them listened to the campaign people who were smart enough to predict what the questions would be and prepared. I imagine that person had prepared answers for a lot of questions that were not asked. This is SOP for a debate, isn’t it?

Didn’t Trump ever watch The West Wing?

“You’re just biassed against me, and deliberately cheating so you can fund that lot from my escrow account. And how much are they paying you in commission?”

Damn Reality and its Liberal Bias!

Even the Generals won once, after the Globetrotters got careless. Just saying.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason Trump thinks that the election will be rigged is that he wants to rig it himself. He’s projecting again.

Thread Win!

Also, I may have to print a retraction:
That Kinks song that I listed for HRC to see and hear was supposed to be this Lyrics Version.

You see, She Actually Reads!
Words and Text just seem to bounce off of Drumpf…
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but in the 2 debates in which I can remember what HRC wore, she did not have a flag pin. Wondering why she made that choice, as in past elections it was commented on. I haven’t searched, but haven’t seen any mention in the news either.

If Trump could make reasonable statements like that, he wouldn’t be Trump. Given his well-established record for filing lawsuits (almost 2000) in his business dealings, I’d be astonished if he didn’t file numerous legal challenges following his loss. Heck, even if he wins, I can picture him filing lawsuits against everybody he can think of.

Instead, he’s being coy, hinting that violence would be okay with him though not in a way that might make him responsible for it.

Where exactly does that cross the line into illegal territory?

When I think of things he’s said to violent supporters at his rallies, it seems obvious to me he’s encouraging violence. But what’s the difference between encouraging and meeting the legal definition of inciting?

Could some lawyerly folks give some examples of things that have been found to violate that legal standard?

Dude should seriously have his own Wikipedia page as “World’s Largest Projector”.

Quite literally every single thing he’s accused Hillary of, he’s been guilty of.

Probably why he accused Hillary of being on drugs.

They do have PJ O’Roarke. Oh wait, he hilariously endorsed Hilary.

Perhaps you did not watch the debate? Trump was not asked to concede last night; he was asked if he would concede if he lost the election. It was a conditional question. You can answer those.

How curious, then, that other members of the same skeptical society had no problem accepting defeat in previous elections.

I have the evidence that previous elections were not rigged, and the evidence that rigging the election would be a gargantuan undertaking that, were it to happen, would already be quite evident. Things that happen in the future CAN, in fact, be anticipated with a fair degree of certainty. I am quite certain that tonight the Moon will appear in the south (from where I am) and will be a waning gibbous moon. I suppose it is theoretically possible the moon will explode, or will be veered off its usual orbit by a rogue planet, but I know where the smart money is.
But again, I’m willing to bet $1000. What’s more, I’m happy to offer you better than even odds. Five to one?

Not that bad. Read his books, middling fair. Got kinda tired of hearing him brag about how he used to be a dope-smoking hippy but wised up and became an alcoholic.

I’ve been wondering this myself. Hope someone answers.

If this was an episode of Law & Order, Jack McCoy would have Trump charged with Murder 2 – Depraved Indifference.
