In the velvet darkness
Of the blackest night
Burning bright, there’s a guiding star
No matter what, or who you are
There’s a light
(Over at the menagerie place)
There’s a light
(Burning in the fireplace)
In the velvet darkness
Of the blackest night
Burning bright, there’s a guiding star
No matter what, or who you are
There’s a light
(Over at the menagerie place)
There’s a light
(Burning in the fireplace)
And damn funny!
So, Snake Month is over.
You could say, it’s a Beauty!
And I see what she did there in the final Page 2 panel…
Cameo from real historic figures in Who Knew?
Strange it wasn’t last week’s strip.
Heeheeheeheehee!
Funny strip, although I have to admit I’m a bit puzzled as to why they are lying in bed together naked from the waist down, in the circumstances.
Well, that was not the Bang he was looking for, surely…
Things are however looking good in the medium term.
There were certainly sky rockets in flight. But it may be a while before the afternoon delight.
Technically they’re naked from the waist up too, but most of that is covered by bandages over the upper-body damage from the rockets that went off while the couple were leaning over them.
As for why they’re together, hospital accommodations in the Oglafverse are notoriously random like that. Two burn victims from the same accident? Sure, shove 'em in the same bed.
To say you have won a thread that has been going for 12 years (holy cow!) and 2472 posts is probably a bit ambitious. But you’ve won the thread for this week, for sure.
Not sure I’ve ever thought of someone wrapped in bandages as naked.
And still doesn’t answer the question of why they are naked at all. I suspect the answer is “because Oglaf”.
All the old Mummy movies would need an X rating…
Babes of the Abyss As a painter of D&D miniatures, I officially love this one.
I’m lost. This has to be an allegory or reference I suppose?
Seems a bit muddled to me. There is some sort of Oedipal reference with the Mom, sure, but beyind that I suppose the title “Biology” points to the reproductive imperative and so he has been doing everything the penis-embodiment demands, but it turns out the penis-embodiment is itself only acting to seek to please the the demands of the vagina-embodiment. Or something like that.
That one is great!
I agree there has to be some allusion to Oedipus. And the lancing of cave bolls is… maybe some sort of allusion to a uterus and destroying fertilized eggs, but then why would the vagina-embodiment have required that?
Dunno
