I don’t think he wants to do his duty, as it were.
Trying to read some of these but the site goes really slow for me and new page requests keep timing out. Anyone else have that problem? Is there a mirror site or something?
Updates are posted on Sundays and it always bogs down the site. Try again in the middle of the week.
You mean Oglaf’s gone down?
I think it’s pretty much what Ivan said in the next strip. She preferred Ivan to the new guy but she didn’t want to say so openly. So she made up a guessing game which would have been impossible in actual practice but allowed her to declare Ivan was the winner.
Of course this doesn’t mean Ivan is right that she likes him. She may just think he’s more fun to torture.
Well, yes.
I’m not sure there’s a difference, for her.
Post #92, but the most recent one’s aren’t there yet.
Thanks for posting this, Randy. I love it!
I shared it with a similarly warp-minded friend, who happens to be the sysadmin for the company that hosts the site. She said their hosting package is the lowest one available, hence the slow-assedness. Ah, well, whaddayawant for free?
“Internal Server Error”
for 2 days this is all I can get. How do I get to the site?
I just went to oglaf.com, and it loaded pretty quickly. Not instantly, but it only thought about it a few seconds.
do you go through the part where they ask if you are over 18?
That is as far as I get. then the server error message.
Never mind, I just tried it on another computer and it loaded fine.
This only happens with the old address, which doesn’t work. The new address was posted back on page 2, but here it is again for convenience for anyone who needs it:
No, it opens fine (oglaf.com) on internet explorer but not on firefox on the computer I am now on, but does open on firefox on my other computer.
And the link you have there (/archives) DID open a minute ago but now will not on firefox.
Weird.
Yet another in a long list of reasons I don’t use firefox.
I just noticed that the email address for reporting tech problems at the site is tell.mistress@oglaf.com.
I hope we don’t have to tell her the same way that Ivan has to.
There’s two ways to tackle this. I could go the dirty route with a joke about her being all wet. Or I can approach this in a dignified and reasoned manner and question what would happen to her in a hot tub. I choose the latter, mostly because I’m too tired to write the joke.
Judging by the Snow Queen’s attire, she’s perfectly comfortable in freezing temps, let’s say 0deg F. Her body temp is also this low, judging by the effects on her lovers. If the average hot tub is 100deg F (I don’t really know, but that sounds reasonable), she’s jumping into something 100deg hotter than her body temp. That would be like jumping into near boiling water for us, which is the kind of thing you sue McDonald’s over.
So if the Queen is literally made out of Snow/Ice, she’ll melt. If she’s made out of cryo-matter, we’re cooking her like a lobster. I personally like her bluish tint, so I can’t advocate this method. While a little pain can be fun, I don’t think the sensation of being boiled alive gets many women in the mood.
I’ll describe the new comic for you very carefully. Unless, of course, you’re into that sort of thing. Then you’re on your own.
No new comic yet?
