I dyed the roots back to a light brown, which didn’t cover the yellow, but made it a bit less brassy. I then rehighlighted using the highlighting cap, so that the ends, which were decidedly less yellow than the roots, and were still less yellow after the brown would match their roots.
I think it looks pretty good. I might attempt more highlights tomorrow, as it still isn’t the look I originally planned for. But no more tonight.
Falc, darling, that is the exact reason why I decided on highlighting instead of the whole bag. Eep! I’ll look on the bright side, at least it’s various stages of yellow, not different colors all together.
Hey, question: I left the bleach in the hair the second time for the full 90 minutes and it’s still just blonde. I wanted BLEACHED. White. But 90 minutes was the cut off, and god knows blonde is better than chunks of it falling out. Why didn’t it turn white?
ps: missed my film exam this morning. Woke up at 9:15. Start time is 8:00. Alarm didn’t go off. Or maybe I slept through it. Luckily, my professor is a doll, and let me take it. FEW. Not the best 24 hours for me.
Off to get dressed for Halloween. I’m going as Mrs. Mimi Wallace, AKA Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. Black pants, white tailored shirt, black wig, needle to the heart. Heh.
