I just placed into the oven one delicious-looking meat lasagna. Tons of cheese, and AWESOME meat/mushroom sauce…and only one layer of lasagna noodles. I covered the bottom with the meat sauce, which is so chunky it took up quite a bit of vertical space. Layered the noodles. Layered more meat sauce, ricotta mix, mozzarella…and more meat, ricotta mix and mozzarella.

What are the odds of Mr. Tao noticing there’s something lacking when it’s done? :p:p
ETA: I need deeper dishes. This is a common sized baking dish but there was literally no room for noodles ANYway. As it is, it’s trying to spill over the top.
Well, I broke the golden rule and sliced a piece out before it’s totally cold. This would have been AWESOME with noodles. As it is, I love it: it’s airy, light, pillowy cheesy saucy flavor. Just…yeah. Kinda needs more noodles than the one layer on the bottom.
I suspect I’m going to end up eating it all, but right now I’m fine with that
Most of my goof’s end up in the bin, not as few as I would like. With 1 layer of noodle this isn’t really lasagna. Perhaps chunk the noodles up a bit and add some fresh cooked pasta and turn it into a lasagna like thingy. Improvising is King and Queen in the kitchen.
Hey! No fair posting a description of an awesome dish and not including a recipe! Well, okay, I can figure out the cheese and noodle part, but what about the meat sauce?
I had a goofup just yesterday. I mixed together two boxed brownie mixes and put them in the oven. After 20 minutes I go to check on it and the entire top layer is a watery, boiling greesy mess. It looked just fine when I put it in the oven. What the hell happened?
I’ll tell you what happened. I forgot the eggs.
There are four ingredients to this difficult recipe. Powder. Oil. Water. Eggs. I missed 25% of the list in its entirety. And there’s a goddamn picture of eggs on the box just in case I’m illiterate.
But you know, once you cooked off the water, and patted off the grease that had nothing to bind with, and scraped the crust portion off the pan I also forgot the spray with Pam…well, it wasn’t half bad.
