Don’t know about the film itself (haven’t seen it, don’t *want *to see it unless I’m in a lunch hurling mood :)), but if the work itself was legit and happened, it’s not all that far fetched for the autonomous head in the vid to have happened as well, even though the narrator embellished the story.
The science isn’t particularly esoteric and besides, propaganda-wise, I’m sure the folks in the Kremlin could have come up with better made-up examples of wondrous Russian science than a living severed head :p.
Correct. The last frame of the “bottle” shot shows the actual label with Cyrillic script reading “limonnaia kislota” (literally “lemon sour”), i.e. citric acid.
The jaw muscles contract as the dog licks and otherwise reacts, and that makes the detached head move.
