I’ve come across some simple Google searches to find literally thousands of URLs to webcams. The potential problem here is that technically many of these cams were not put out to be public, but the user didn’t take precautions to secure them.
Would simply posting the search terms for Google be a problem, because of this?
While technically we’re not responsible for the ignorance or the laziness of other people and the security of their webcams and gee, if you’re foolish enough to let that stuff out there, maybe you deserve to have the world peering at you . . . no, let’s not do that, okay?
We can’t prevent you from going out and looking for that kind of thing, but we’d just as soon not be a partner to it. Do that somewhere else.
