Okay Goose, it's time to buzz the tower!

Maveriiiick!!

There’s just something vaguely creepy, but cool, seeing the Big Iron doing full-speed low-level flyovers

Highlights;
1:28; Air Portugal Heavy Iron doing a full-speed pass at near ground level
2:00; Pusher-prop seaplane practically mowing the lawn (looked to be a couple feet off the ground
2:24; AeroSur 747 just barely above the true hard-deck
2:47; IcelandAir DC-3 with props almost touching the ground
3:25; Frys.com 747 (with 4 T-38 Tigersharks in close formation behind it) ground-skimming (the Big Iron, not the T-38’s)

Hey, guys…watch this!

I always thought the footage of the Boeing 727 doing a barrel roll at an airshow was amazing … I think it is up on you tube

I’ve always been fond of the Spitfire low pass.

Not to mention the 747 water tanker.

(Dishonorable mention to a scene from The Endless Summer…)

Not big iron but the most awesome tower buzz I have ever witnessed personally was a Pitts Special Biplane turning hard right after take off and going wings vertical, cockpit facing the tower, and flying past about ten meters from the top of the tower. I was outside doing a preflight so I didn’t hear who asked for the buzz, pilot or tower, but I’m sure the controller got a fright either way.

Do you suppose it would be in poor taste to make one of these videos with a Randy Rhoads song over it?

And just after that a P51 Mustang - just listen to the noise that thing makes, it sent shivers down my spine.

Isn’t it: “Hey, guys, hold my beer and watch this!”

Here’s a 707 doing a roll - is this what you were thinking of? Amazing stuff!

Nah, pilots need both hands to drive. They use these.
