Okay, who thought doing up your campaign bus like this was a good idea?

I didn’t even notice the exhaust pipe before reading the article. I thought the license plate (which the officer seems to hold with his hand) was what we were supposed to notice.

Canada’s right-wing federal political party changed its name again since then, to the Conservative Party of Canada, upon the merger of the federal Progressive Conservatives with the Canadian Alliance in 2003, but many of the provincial parties have kept the old name. Today the name makes a lot of sense once again: some people (including me) lament the demise of the old Progressive Conservative Party, which was truly a lot more progressive than the current Conservative Party is.

In the spirit of the thread, it should be noted that they called themselves the Canadian Conservative Reform Alliance (Party) briefly. They changed the name a day later when the resulting acronym was pointed out to them.

Pretty impressive that you can tell her tire size from that one picture.

I feel kinda bad for her. D:

The free publicity given to that bus is worth its weight in black gold. There’s no way the party didn’t do it on purpose.

When I first saw the picture (linked without specific context in the CanaDoper thread) I had no idea what I was supposed to be noticing. I completely missed it, and I’m sure the party did too. I see it now, but I’m sure most people wouldn’t, without it being pointed out.

My inner eight-year-old thinks it’s hillarious.

I really do need to grow up one of these days.

They were talking about it on the news, and not everyone sees it right away, but most of us see it pretty easily - it’s not that big of a stretch. Maybe your mind just isn’t dirty enough.

Apparently Danielle Smith’s husband sent her this picture.

Wow. She does have a sense of humour.

Being in Ontario, I have no idea how much support the Wildrose Party has. What’s the inside scoop on these guys?

ETA: BTW she is IMHO very pretty. I doubt people would have pointed this out on Elizabeth May’s bus, for example.

She is very pretty, but she has Preston Manning’s voice.

The Wildrose party is nipping at the Conservatives’ heels. The Wildrose party is a rightwing party - even further right than the Conservatives.

ETA: nm. I’m taking my thoughts to the CanaDope thread.

Hello, AAA? I have a flat…tire.

I’m not sure I would have noticed this if it hadn’t been pointed out, but now? There it is, all right.

I think it’s PR genius. The whole point here is “name recognition, name recognition, name recognition.” Look at this: People have heard of this politician who don’t even live in Canada. The news of this so-called fiasco went viral! I think whoever dreamed this up deserves a raise.

I mean, sure, she looks like kind of an idiot. But publicity!

what is on the other side of the bus, more boobs?

Now if only tire-boob girl was the name on the ballot…

if it was a punch ballot people would be looking for more than one punchout.

I’m seeing a shot from the rear with her thong showing just a bit above her low riding jeans. sigh

Only if they have different politicians on the other side.

And her Wildrose tattoo.

Yeah, but then you’d accidentally vote for Buchannon and he would take your social security away!
