Oklahoma governor says he wanted rape/incest exception in abortion ban. Didn't get it, but HE SIGNED IT ANYWAY

So you believe God himself told you that this entire argument is wrong. Yet you continue to argue it. Even though you know it is wrong—that God himself has rejected your argument—you continue to try and convince others that it is true.

You claim you are being a “Devil’s advocate.” That would mean you’re putting forth a position that you think the opposition might for the purposes of proving it wrong. Yet when people provide counterarguments, you then come up with increasingly stretched and illogical reasoning for why they are wrong, and your position is right.

That’s not devil’s advocate. That’s just you arguing on behalf of the Devil. You know that God has told you that this is a lie. Like all lies, it comes from the Father of lies. And yet you continue to argue for him.

You say it facetiously, but it appears to be literal. You are in fact choosing to do what the Devil calls you to do, rather than uphold what God told you.

I will only argue once more against you. A full-term pregnancy is not an inherent consequence of sex. Thus arguing that consenting to one is consenting to the other is wrong. You can’t appeal to the Bible, and apparently God himself told you you were wrong.

So stop posting to hurt others. Stop following Satan’s orders instead of God. Care about others, and care about your own eternal soul. Don’t be like the Trump worshipers who gave up on both of those.

Does ‘any substance’ include medical tools, or RU-486? Because if it does, I think we’re in complete agreement.

Caution quote segments ahead…

I’m trying to explore it, not convince anyone.

Part of the definition includes ‘or expose it to thorough examination’, so yes it fits as that is exactly what I am doing.

Actually no, and that’s the interesting part. In a society who values equality, responsibility and morality but without God is all I have been advocating from the beginning. The counterarguments have been stretched.

So you name Ol’ scratch more by name here, and what I am doing is exactly fits the definition of devil’s advocate, yet you claim I am not doing that?

Yes it is a lie. But I am free to explore it as it is a real issue and has been in history. Such is the power of Christ in me.

If you want to rebuke me go ahead, if you want to pray for me that’s fine too. It is the pit after all. I am exploring abortion on demand on the basis of morality, san Theo/theos. Yes this is the devil’s viewpoint, yes will lead to problems, but seems morally consistent within those constraints. My question has become is God needed to preserve abortion on demand rights moving towards a society that values equality, morality and responsibility. Thus it is God who is on the side of abortion on demand and why we have it.

Or in other words God gives and preserves abortion rights.

I have not in my role here, just basic human morality, equality and responsibility.

This is the part that I initially hesitated with, I know it had the potential to reopen wounds. Then with Spice_Weasel’s posting I again hesitated. My intent is not to harm, but to learn and explore.

As long as you don’t harm anyone else, smoke up.

Just to state this was not my intent going into this and was not even on my mind, just where it lead.

But this can be looked at as “harm reduction”. Better to prevent some “baby murders” than to prevent none of them.

If I felt that all abortions are murders (I don’t, I’m pro-choice) I know that I would prefer avoiding as many abortions as possible and I would be glad to make political concessions if it meant that some abortions (rather than none) would be avoided.
