I was a proud member of the old AOL Straight Dope community. I believe my name was LLRex2, which was my AOL name. I decided to change my name on the new board in part so people would know that I was female.
I remember when the “new and improved” board showed up and it SUCKED!
I also remember when Keyword: Dope wouldn’t work anymore because idiot posters would show up expecting us to tell them where to find some really good weed. I guess they took AOL seriously when they claimed to be user friendly… 
I kinda miss the feeling of “community” we had on the old board… <sniff, sniff> <—that was me getting all teary, not me sniffing glue.
That, and I wish my modem was faster. Geesh, waiting for a new thread to pop up takes forEVER!
