Back in 1992 or so, I was on a business trip and watched a bit of a movie that seemed liked SF - a computer was reporting vocally on the history of various people (from world government records or some such). A creepy bit was that for at least one person there was no record of what the person was doing for a couple of years. Turned out to be on some “700 Club” like station - after a dramatic scene instead of a commercial, a couple of talking heads talked about the scene. Anyone know what this picture might have been?
Bumping this thread, just once to see if anyone can help.
One of the sequels to A Thief in the Night?
(I saw that one once, years ago, haven’t seen any of the sequels.)
Possibly. I’m looking for a detailed enough summary to include the computer stuff.
Sounds very familiar to me. Can you remember any more details?
Not really. Mostly I remember the computer reading off the records of various people - something like
“Joe Smyth: 1972-1977 Worked at the Ominous Organization -
1977-1980 Worked for United Nations Secret Placde -
1980-1982 - UNKNOWN (ominous chord)
1982-1986 - In Congress”
So, what, does Joe Smyth turn out to be the Antichrist?
Does it turn out that Joe Smyth is made out of people?
It turns out that Joe Smyth is really two people, a man and a woman. And that couple’s names were… Adam and Eve.
Definitely not A Thief in the Night then.
I think so. I didn’t see the whole movie…
