No it is not science fiction , i think place should be afganistan , deserted , with mountains and caves but i am not sure if they are apes in afganistan in reality.

I watched this film as a kid and i couldnt understand why the man choose to stay in mountain alone (with apes) while he could leave also with helicopter.

I, too, remember this movie from when I was a kid. As a youngster it was kind of haunting as I didn’t understand the nuances. It’s one of those movies that’s stuck with me.

Re watching that trailer is spooky

I was very young maybe 10 years old , and i couldnt understand why he prefer to stay with baboons. Why he didnt got onboard at helicopter.

And that last scene stack in my mind for years

I wrote that it is 20 years but it is much more , maybe 35 years i am thinking this movie
