My family, on my Father’s side, came here in early 1700’s and were the original hoarders…so I got lots of historical stuff. Mom died so I’m digging and found a newspaper announcing the death of General George Washington. It was framed in late 1800’s
and though worm eaten is absolutely readable. WHAT’S IT WORTH? Unlike the
1800’s, times are tough.
It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I’d have it evaluated by a reputable antiques dealer, museum or auction house.
There are apparently a lot of replica newspapers that came out during the 100th anniversary of his inauguration - which of course - was in the late 1800s. Not saying this is the case, but…
