I’ve been watching a DVD of the 1972 Canada vs. USSR hockey series and it reminded me of something I’ve always wondered about.
The nets during this time were shaped very strangely and I was wondering wheather there was a particular reason for this?
From a street hockey rule book I once had, I read that it was shaped that way to keep the puck inside the net.
