I bought FIL one of these Horsehead Squirrel Feeders and he was entertained for almost a year. Until a squirrel bit through the metal cable.
Awwww!
Ollie is why Hubs remembers you. I showed him the pics you shared with us and told him about your catamount worries.
We also have a heat pump, but ours does a rather alarming appearing thaw cycle every so often. The steam blowing past the kitchen window looks like smoke and will wake me up faster than coffee in the morning.
So not much happened here today. We tend to try to stay home the week before xmas but might make another drive to look at the lights. Today was the longest day of the year, but its going to be dark for another month and pretty lights are always good.
I’ve stopped playing Diablo again. I killed the monsters and got the treasures and can talk about building and sword stats with Hubs. That’s really the only reason I paid for the expansion, it keeps him entertained.
I found out after church this morning that Mrs. L.A. had filled out a prayer request for me, and people have been praying for me since I found out I was going to be terminated. Also: We saw a deer in the parking lot as we left.
Since I’ve been preoccupied, it’s been harder to think of things for dinner. Last night, I defrosted some TJ’s chicken thighs and seasoned them with olive oil, kosher salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parsley flakes. Tonight she could have her leftover tamale, a quarter-pound dinner frank, beef birria (burritos), or… I found pork chops in the deep freezer. She said pork chops are a good thing for Sunday dinner. They were pretty huge, so we split one; with mached Yukon Gold potatoes and packed peppered country gravy.
We have an extra minute of daylight tomorrow. I wonder how I should use it?
doggio, do they actually make a hot pepper blend? That would be…interesting, as in “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” interesting (SONG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhuMLpdnOjY )
Bright Tree, never had a pet sleep in my bed (some underneath it). Stay warm.
And off to bed as soon as I finish listening once again to “The Weight” by playing for change. See y’all tomorrow.
