Some Toblerone is manufactured in Switzerland and has the Swiss flag. But some is manufactured in Slovakia. And those manufactured in Slovakia are not allowed to be labeled with the Swiss flag.
75F at 1245 and still climbing. Did some basic shopping and noted all the buds on the trees on the drive back. We’ll be bursting into allergy season in no time.
Wore my new On Cloud shoes to the store. Very comfortable and I like the slip-on feature. The sole inserts come right out and I slid my arch supports in without issue. I was afraid that with my high arches that my feet would pull out of the shoes, but no such problem.
Picked up the ingredients to make my black bean and chicken chili tomorrow.
We ordered in a pepperoni pizza last night from a joint we hadn’t tried yet. Almost tasteless. How do you find pepperoni that has no flavor? Would it hurt you to invest in a shaker of oregano for the sauce? There is one other pizza place in the city that I have hopes for, but if that’s as bland and tired as every other pie I’ve tried here, I guess I’m done with pizza.
Cleaned and dressed. I have yoga later this afternoon, so that’s what I dressed for originally, but Mrs Magill pointed out that we have a mixer for progressives in the neighborhood first, so I had to change. I should probably pack exercise clothes in my bag, so I can change at the studio.
Cookie Life is too short to put up with bad pizza.
Remember the olden days when the most you’d have to look at were half a dozen photos in one of this accordion-fold picture holders that fit in a wallet? Now you could be subjected to scads of photos and videos on someone’s phone!! I do my best not to be that grandmother, even tho my grands are surely the most amazingly adorable kids in the world!!! And posting them here or on FB doesn’t count, because everyone can ignore the cuteness or snark about them and I’ll never know. (As if anyone could!!!)
Anyway, back from almost 4 hours of boat work, followed by a quick stop to finally sell the car seat, then late lunch/early supper of soup and salad at Olive Garden. We’re now in max chillage mode. I need to decide which days this week I’ll work at the boat and which days I’ll play in the dirt at home. I’ll figure that out later. For now, I just need to unwind.
Howdy Y’all! I deheathenated twice and OYKW deheathenated once. He left right after second service to go get stoner food. I had to unvest and make sure all was tidy before I left. Worked out just right cause when I got to da cave he had just gotten there with the food. We et and accomplished nappage. He told me he left the bedroom and napped in his recliner in the livin’ room because I started to peel the paint off the wall. We also accomplished day drinkin’ and watched the final Downton Abbey movie. Plus, the biiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow.
MOOOOOOM I am somewhat skittish about pay apps. Maybe it’s a generational thing, but they don’t feel secure to me. Plus I am positive they would draw whippersnappers to my lawn.
BooFae glad ‘im indoors and you are havin’ such a good time locally. Nice to be missed by the pizza man ain’t it?
Joe Gibbs, who had a career as a sports coach before getting into running a NASCAR race team, had a really good day. He watched his grandson Ty Gibbs drive to his first NASCAR Cup win.
Mrs. Nott is holed up in the back room, doing our taxes. It’s one of the many times it’s good to have a super-smart retired CPA for a wife.
Weather-wise, it’s been a fabulous day. I gave the HVAC machinery the day off, and I opened all the windows to let the mid-70s breezes blow through. It looks like rain late tonight, so I’ll have to close it up before bedtime, and ponder whether to turn on heat or A/C. I was contemplating a walk, but since Mrs. Nott needs my ID for the tax drudgery, I’ll opt for the exercise bike.
Cookie, perhaps that pizza joint has a 3d printer making their pepperoni.
That’s all I have for now. Tomorrow;s a new Monday Morning Post!
The news tonight warned us about severe weather starting tomorrow afternoon sometime, including the possibility of a funnel cloud and hail. Mommy!
We’re going on an “outing” to the Galleria tomorrow for the annual flower extravaganza, but will be back before any bad weather moves in. Maybe I’ll visit Williams-Sonoma and drool on the merch.
I cleaned, dusted, and vacuumed. I took the trash out. Roomie walked with me. Not the longest she walked, but the longest she’s walked outside in a bit(Uphill! One way! Throught the pollen!)
Got off the freeway on the way home from church. Mrs. L.A. asked, ‘What are we going to have for dinner?’ I said, ‘We have ham…’ (Easter ham from last week.) She said, ‘I’ve been eating it all week…’ She asked, ‘How about a roast?’ So I made pot roast. I put some beef in a pot, topped it with Lipton Onion Soup mix, put three quartered Yukon Gold potatoes on one side, four carrots (peeled, and cut into 2-inch chunks) on the other side, a little water, and cremini (Crimeny!) mushrooms and Campbell’s Cream Of Mushroom soup on top. Put on the lid and baked it in the oven for four hours.
I got a new tin whistle. This one is in the key of D. My Guinness one is in the key of C. I prefer D. One day I’ll learn more than the few tunes I know.
