My parents wouldn’t let me get any pets other than fish, so I got a bunch of different kinds (catfish, angelfish, kissing gouramis[sup]sp?[/sup], etc.). One of the first ones I got was a small grey catfish named Gertrude, and she was the last one of the lot to die, 4 years later. Poor thing, she was as sweet as a fish could be!
I had a cat that we put to sleep when I was 19 or 20, she was older than me at the time.
I also had a Beta fish that I got in College that lived for like 2-3 years but got killed by my current cat.
