And what governs “fineness” in an athlete? Raw physical prowess? In that case, they can’t be found at any Olympics; they’re too busy earning money with their physical abilities to bother with something as idealistic as representing their country in competition.
Granted that an event which takes its competitors from majority groups may have more skilled athletes than one whose competitors are largely drawn from a minority group…
But, just out of curiosity, who do you consider the best diver of the last half century?
I’d say that would have to be Jaques Cousteau.
