Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

My guess is that “teenagers” is what was auto-corrected from “covfefe”.

I was wondering if there is any provision in the bill that was specifically about using images of minors. So in saying “teenagers” she was desperately trying to find some category overlap between Democrats wanting to protect minors in the bill, and Democrats wanting to catch the people who all Democrats think are evil who attacked the Capitol.

The bill is pretty narrow, applying only to footage captured from police body cams.

And she’s an idiot, or playing at being one. The controversies about facial recognition are about facial recognition software.

She’s blathering like it will prevent police from publishing photos of suspects with the hope that someone will recognize them.

Banned TikToker and probably soon to be banned YouTuber That Vegan Teacher, a few days ago, decided to post a video advocating for reclaiming the n-word. Which is…unfortunate enough from a white woman, to begin with.

How she decided to do it, however, really raised the level of dafuq…

Dafuq is correct. Again, dafuq? :unamused:

Definitely on mine.

Very probing cinematography.

Well, she actually does have “Karen” in her name. That might explain it.

“Kadie Karen Diekmeyer” sounds like a SNL sketch character.

because 4 out of 5 fundamentally misunderstand what it means.

I agree, but whose fault is that? It’s a terrible slogan for a good idea.

But, I have it on good authority, OK @octopus, that words can not be racist…

Well, that is good authority! Of course words don’t have intrinsic meaning. No debate needed since it’s axiomatic.

But here’s some cites!

The hills some folks choose to defend boggles the mind.

Why? It’s a fundamental problem with some people that they think certain things have intrinsic value or meaning. Some of you folks are almost as irrational or ill-informed as the labor theory of value folks.

He’s quite good at making a mountain out of a trollhill.

It’s a bit frustrating because you don’t even understand the concept and want to argue or ridicule it. Do a bit of reading.

Or they’ve seen where it has gone disastrously wrong. I live in the Seattle area, and the police have been defunded to the point where it is now endangering the public.

I’m not saying it’s always a bad idea. But it has been done very badly in places and any reasonable person would object if they experience this.

Some days I miss Starving Artist . . . at least he could be embarrassed into seeing the light, even if for just a single post.

Was he banned, too?
