Scored a solid if not spectacular goal so far too.
Dude’s living his best life, all duties discharged.
Two goals now!
Damn, you beat me to it.
And an assist.
Apparently the first player in MLS history to have multiple goal contributions (G+A) in 5 consecutive games. That seems like it should have happened before in the almost 30 years of MLS, but guess not.
Especially since MLS counts “secondary assists” - the pass that leads to the pass that leads to the shot.
Of course, I don’t know if they count secondary assists in the goal contributions stat…
I thought they stopped doing that a while ago?
Messi with a goal and 5 assists tonight. Suarez with a hattrick. Suarez is funny because he’s very slow, but find space pretty easily by getting in blind-spots and with great timing.
Dortmund just a few minutes short of making the final. Biting my nails now…
ETA: and they did it. 1-0 in Paris, final in Wembley after 2013 again. I rarely root for Bayern, but I’ll do tomorrow because I want a revenge for Dortmund after 11 years.
How awesome is this UCL run for Dortmund? Just a lovely farewell for Marco Reus.
This is very big for BVB. 12 years after last wining the Bundesliga, 27 years after last wining the CL and 11 years after being in a CL final, and all that after tragically and haplessly losing the Bundesliga title last year and playing a bad season this year, this is a major event, almost a sensation.
ETA: by the way, I looked it up: if Bayern make it to the final, there will be three players left from 2013. Mats Hummels and Marco Reus on Dortmund’s side, and the indestructible Thomas Müller on Bayern’s.
The question was rhetorical, but I appreciate the context.
I’m happy too because I loathe PSG.
Oh shoot, I was so euphoric that I took your question literally.
On paper Dortmund are underdogs to whoever makes it from the other side of the bracket, but beating Bayern would be too perfect and I think they’d do it. Unfortunately I think RM wins. Again.
I’m always happy when one of those Qatar or Saudi dollars stuffed puppet teams lose again, I especially enjoy PSG year after year not winning the CL.
Amen.
Exactly, plus they blamed (and booed and whistled) Messi for them not winning the CL, I would like to ask them how it went now that they no longer have Messi…
I know that you adore Messi, and that you’re a football romantic like me, but why in hell did he play for such a soulless club like PSG in the first place?
Beats me, his departure from Barcelona was kinda unexpected (apparently they told him everything was fine until a few weeks before the day they were going to sign) and may be PSG was the best option in a rush?
Or maybe it was just for the money, I revere the man but he’s no ascetic saint.
Those unpaid taxes won’t take care of themselves!
