I’ve thought they’re a bit overrated this season, certainly compared to the other two treble seasons, so I’m not shocked. Annoyed by choking Messi’s last couple years away while watching Madrid win so I’m hungry for UCL success, but not upset like I was after the Anfield loss.
Win the league and I’ll be content, especially since Lewandowski is the only starter that’s going to age out soon. If they get a good replacement they could have a really nice ~5 years until they need to replace other starters.

It’s the end of an era, today was Thomas Müller’s last match at Allianz. 
He wasn’t able to score a goal, but it coincided nicely with the celebration of Bayern winning the Bundesliga this season.
It’ll be interesting to see if he comes to the MLS. I would selfishly welcome it, but who knows.
I didn’t have the opportunity to watch it live, but from what I’ve read, the four years senior of him, Manu Neuer, stole the show from him. Will Müller be jealous? 
ETA: and in other German football news, the proud former Bundesliga “dino” HSV fixed the ascension to the first Bundesliga after struggling for seven years in second. Good to have a club with that tradition, the European champion of 1983, back instead of one season wonders like Holstein Kiel, who today got relegated to second Bundesliga.
Yes, Neuer had a great game, but for one of the first times ever the beer squad caught up with him after a championship and drenched him, so he didn’t stop every shot. 
And oh boy, I watched Hamburg and Ulm, and rarely do you so clearly see two teams going in opposite directions. Now Köln has to get themselves sorted out!
They’re on a good path with their experienced fixer Friedhelm Funkel, winning yesterday in Nuremberg. It would get me much flak from other Borussia Mönchengladbach fans if there were any here, but I’m sympathetic to FC Köln because my maternal grandpa was from Cologne. And my mother, my sister and two of my best friends are all rooting for them, and it will be great to have the Rhine derby back next season.
I dunno how good of a prospect Muller is for MLS. He’s older than ideal, less athletic, and his contributions are more tactically advanced than you generally see in MLS matches. I worried about Messi for similar reasons, but then Miami brought in half the 2014 Barca team to play with him and he’s doing alright. I’m sure there are some places he’d do well, but not as sure of a thing as you might expect for a guy that played 500 games in the Bundesliga.
Turned on El Classico a little late and RM are already up 1-0 in the 5th minute. Obviously early, but shaping up to be a terrible weak for Barca fans.
