I haven’t watched any PSG games this year and only the two semi-final games for Inter. And this is going to sound really stupid, but Inter didn’t impress me a ton. They pounced on their opportunities that Barcelona gave them, but didn’t strike me as super dangerous. At Barcelona I always said that if Dembele got it together mentally he’d be a Ballon d’Or candidate, and that seems correct now. I’ll go with the team with the best player, and that’s PSG.
Wouldn’t at all shock me for an Inter tactical success and a clinical win though.
As a hopeless football romantic I’m rooting for Inter. And I think the odds are fifty/fifty, today’s Inter is much more than good old catenaccio, which has been a thing of the past in Italy for quite some time now.
ETA: there’s another reason I’m leaning to Inter: two of their most important players, Marcus Thuram and Yann Sommer got their breakthroughs at my club, Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Well, that was some bad defending by Inter.
And now a perfect counterattack, 2-0.
ETA: Inter have a hard time stealing the ball from PSG.
Yeah, a totally one-sided match, Donnarumma had to clear only one shot.
ETA: ouch, now it gets painful and embarrassing for Inter. 5-0.
Shows what a great football expert I am…

You’re not the only one surprised by how one-sided that game was. The lack of competitiveness was more disappointing than the outcome.
Inter eliminated Barcelona for that?
We Bayern fans also have questions.
Yeah, would Bayern or Barca have suffered a similar beating? I don’t think so.
And I hate to see that for Sommer, I suspect you do as well.
Yeah, I do, but he didn’t make any mistake himself. His defense let him down.
Only five weeks before the next Champions League matches. Hup Vikingur!
Spain crushing France in the UEFA Nations League, 4-0 after 55 minutes. But the penalty call for the 3-0 was a joke, if this was a penalty you might as well prohibit any tackles in the box.
ETA: and while I typed this, another penalty, this time for France which Mbappé scores. I missed the foul and if it was another ridiculous call.
ETA2: wow, scoring goes on, this time Yamal for the 5-1!
I am following the live ticker in the background: I think I will enjoy the YouTube best of in half an hour.
The thing is, France are not even playing much worse than Spain, they just squander their opportunities. It’s a high gear match, that’s for sure. Could also be 5-5.
Yeah, keep on the spoilers rolling for me! I like them!
The question is: what could be more self-spoilering than following a live ticker and this thread?
