He read a Rueters dispatch on his show yesterday, it seems Abba turned down one billion (yes that’s with a B) dollars to regroup and do a 100 city tour. Y’all think that’s because they don’t need the money or they finally realized they really suck?

I used to rock and roll all night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I’m lucky if I can find a half an hour a week in which to get funky.
ABBA consisted of 2 married couples. Both couples are now divorced. Both partners of both couples began fooling around with their opposite sex counterpart from the other former couple.
So now, nobody in either couple wants to talk to ANYBODY in the group EVER AGAIN. :eek:

One Billion?? And what record company/concert promoter is going to raise THAT kind of money? We’re talking about the GDP of, say, Angola! Where is this rumour?

I’m with Coldfire. But then the first album I ever bought was an Abba album, and I still own it. “The Winner Takes It All” brings a tear to my eye every time.
But Bjorn Again will do in the meantime. How can you not love an Abba tribute band who responds to an Erasure record of Abba covers called “Abba-esque” by releasing a record of Erasure covers called “Erasure-ish”?

Did the contract say they had to play the same 100 cities the same night? TRwo of them could start ahead, followed by the other two, a day behind. You’d have to go two nights in a row to see all 4.
