On what date had half your life gone by?

August 17, 1995. I had about two weeks left of summer vacation before I started my junior year of high school.

January 26, 1990.

Five months until I graduated college.

Christmas Day, 1989. I was 22 years old with a semester of grad school under my belt.

12/26/94

I would have been umm … a sophomore in high school.

Really?

10/11/1994

I was a senior in high school, and I remember nothing in particular about that specific day.

August 23, 1983. The beginning of a post grad school year, one of the best of my life. But the end of that school year brought on the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

The calculation is straightforward enough but I don’t really know that it’s been explained why we’re converting our birthdays to Julian instead of just using the current calendar system.

October 4, 1998, a 13 year-old in junior high; I don’t remember anything particular about that day (Google brings up tornadoes in Oklahoma).

Oct. 5, 1988

JD makes the math simpler – at least it does for me. Any method that gives you a precise day is okay, and even a ballpark number satisfies the idea of the thread.

The linked thread in the OP has a slightly different idea going on, and it just prompted this variation. Fun with dates is the main thing I was after.

July 21st, 2000. I don’t remember that day, but I do remember the Concorde crashing 4 days later.

Once I decide on a date to kill myself, I’ll figure it out and let you know.

I can hardly wait.

I got sometime in February, 1381 AD.

Hm. Either bad math or I’m a hemovore.

I suspect bad math but if the other fits, go for it. Oh, and thanks for the new word! I did look it up online although I was pretty sure what it meant. Dick (a 2000 M-W Collegiate) doesn’t have it. That may be a clue as to how new the vampire craze is.

October 8th, 2000. I was in the sixth grade. I certainly recall the presidential election that would happen about a month later.

1066 and all that. I think I made a mistake.

Or you died at the Battle of Hastings and don’t remember it

September 30 1994. I had been at university for two weeks, and I saw Radiohead for the first time that night in the student’s union.

Wow. I started university over half my life ago.

I had dinner with a bad-tempered, boring lawyer who yelled at the waiter, once. It seemed like half my life went by on *that *date.
