Once again, please recommend some instumental music

Bela Fleck and the Fleck Tones. No Guitar, but damn kick ass.

If you like Joe Satriani and Steve Morse and are looking for something new I recommend Ron Jessurun
Ron is my SO and I’m not here to promote him, but I do think you would like his music if you are into that style.

Don’t know if you like surf music or not, but here’s some worth checking out…
Link Wray - any greatest hits type thing will be good
Dick Dale - Tribal Thunder or a greatest hits
Man or Astroman - A Spectrum on Infinite Scale
Laika and the Cosmonauts - Instruments of Terror
Huevos Rancheros - Endsville
Satan’s Pilgrims - S/T
Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet - Savvy Show Stoppers

and a some of nonsurf
Zubot & Dawson - Strang (psychedelic bluegrass)
Astor Piazolla - Tango: Zero Hour (violent tango)
Ennio Morricone - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly Soundtrack
Removal - Hello, My Name is Irrelavent (instro-metal/punk)

Shameless plug from a similar thread I started a couple of years ago.

For shred: Vinnie Moore and Joe Stump.
Here is a page to explore: http://www.chopsfromhell.com/rippers.html

I’ll add that I did manage to post a killer list in USCDiver’s thread. It is more varied than just R&R but still kicks @ss. Worth checking out for those who are curious. Lot’s of other good suggestions in that thread too.

check out SINTI. i am no expert but know what i like. kinda cajun scot/irish.
also king sunny ade…there are words but you probably wont understand them,(or i dont) but it is plenty soothing and beautiful.

If Jimi Hendrix and Ravi Shankar had a lovechild, it would be Steve Tibbetts. Mind-boggling freak guitar. The Fall of Us All is my all-time favorite guitar album.

On a more mellow note, the late, great Michael Hedges. Aerial Boundaries is one of the most amazing compositions I’ve ever heard.

OK, I’ve ordered stuff from Danny gatton and Gary Hoey (the audio clips from Hoey on Amazon sound really good)

Keep 'em coming.

Suzanne Ciani is beautiful new agey classical music.

Esquivel and Martin Denny are amazing ultra lounge music that is a helluva lot of fun.

Martin Denny’s version of Misirilou(which was before Dick Dale) blows Dick Dale’s version out of the water, IMHO.

OK, I really liked the Endless Summer II soundtrack by Gary Hoey. The Danny Gatton stuff was really good but took some time to warm up to it.

I also got Buckethead’s Colma. Pretty mellow music for a guy playing with Axle Rose.

Keep 'em coming please.
