Does this make any economic sense? This company is paying for over one and a half million phone numbers plus it’s accepting the charges for every call made to any of these numbers. That’s got to add up to a pretty big expense.
And how many sales does it make? The vast majority of people who call one of its numbers are not looking for a phone sex service, so they’re not going to follow through with a purchase.
This looks like a business that’s racing towards bankruptcy.

Just call PrimeTel Communication’s corporate office directly and check it out…their number is 1-800-HOT-BOOB.
They can get 1-800 numbers because a lot of them are being dropped by other businesses. With the growth of cell phones, VOIP phones, etc. where people don’t have to pay separate charges for long-distance calls, many companies are finding 1-800 numbers are no longer worth the cost.
And I suspect they can then have a separate toll-free number in every ad they run, thus providing exact information on which ads for which products in which markets have the most responses. (I mean, what would you do with a million toll-free numbers?) Heck, if they moved their numbers around, they could probably get an entire toll-free area code to themselves (say, 855).
They probably wouldn’t want to do that though (nor would the telco’s want them to) - it would ghetto-ize those numbers (similar to 976 numbers) as porn.
