Oh, I was just thinking specifically of Zeus being both Zeus and Hera. Multiple is one thing, but that’s insaaaane.

Curtis, some friendly advice: try looking at the world from beyond the narrow criteria you live in. Try to understand that the majority of the world are not Christian. Understand that many worshippers of those other religions are as passionate and full of certitude about their holy beliefs as you are about yours.

Ask yourself “on what premise do I believe that I am right and they are wrong?”

You’re clearly very interested in the subject; how about as you get older, studying religion. Not Christian Theology, but religion as a whole. Maybe travel to places where other religions are worshipped and observe those worshippers being as convinced of their spiritual understanding as you are about yours. Then think a bit.

(And as an aside, this may help you to realise that you cannot logically couch your understanding of atheism as it only disbelieving in Christianity.)

I never considered atheism to be just disbelieving in Christianity.

Curtis; I am sure you must know the Bible is the words of men, not a God,so knowing the Bible has little or nothing to know about God, but the ideas of a God that Humans wrote. One can believe the humans who wrote it,but anyone can say God inspired them or told them something, just as Muhammad said an angel dictated a book to him that God wanted written. If God couldn’t make up his mind what He wanted men to do, then how are men supposed to learn the truth about Him? There have been, and always will be con-men who like to fool people and have them follow their ideas! It is a matter of who one wants to place their faith in,not fact.

One God but many religions…What does it tell you ?

It tells me that ignorance is the common thread among all religions that worship a god.

That and the fact that I need to change my oil in another 3500 km.
