Blind Melon - so much more to offer than No Rain. For starters, check out Tones of Home and Galaxie
The Cardigans - the hits only begin with Lovefool. Listen to Carnival or the more recent (and great) Live and Learn.
Del Amitri is (was) a great Scottish band known to American radio audiences only for “Roll to Me” however anyone listening to their Hatful of Rain best-of album will quickly learn that they’ve recorded a wealth of great songs. Additionally, Twisted is a nearly perfect album, well worth checking out.
Currently I’m looking through this list and VH1’s List- I know next to nothing about music, though…
I picked up the first (and only) album by The La’s from the library a couple of weeks ago. They’re best known for “There She Goes” (which has been crappily covered by Sixpence None the Richer and features in commericials for some sort of contraceptive) but every track on the album is terrific.
