It can go that way. My uncle found out he had cancer 3-4 weeks ago. Going to his funeral tomorrow. The whole family is still in shock. He had other medical problems but there was hope then he found this out.

I lost a good friend to cancer just before Christmas last year. Lost my father to cancer in 1995.
Cancer sucks.

Thinking of you too, yojimbo. This is similar to what my partner’s family has just gone through. Their uncle was diagnosed with cancer, and died one month and one day later. They’d initially given him 12-18 months, but it was just so aggressive.
A wake on the 24th, I’ll fly out on the 17th.
