One year later, I'm still NOT old! (Hal Briston, this is for you.)

I post this on the eve of my 38th birthday.

One year ago, in this thread I posted that I got to say, “I’m 37, I’m not old!” from Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the next year. Hal Briston asked that I actually do this as he was going to but didn’t for some reason.

Well, Hal, I have done as you requested. Everytime somone asked my age, or I volunteered it, I said, “I’m 37, I’m not old!”. Most people either looked at me funny or responded with some flavor of, “I don’t think you’re old.”. There were probably about 5 people throughout the past year that actually got the reference. But that’s ok. Sometimes you do something just for the pure enjoyment of doing it for yourself.

So… what should I say to people now that I’m 38? :confused:

Congrats! You did a much better job with it than I did…

Well, if you’re like me, you say “I’m thirty…uhhh…seven? Eight? Crap…let’s see, '68 to '06, we’re past February, that makes me…uhhh…I’m 38”.

Don’t be completely like Hal; sheep are still afraid of him

::d&r::

Now that you are 38, you are old enough to ask Hal how to prevent earthquakes?

So Hal… any thoughts? :smiley:

Wishing you a good day, a good year and a great life. Happy Birthday. :slight_smile:

I called you old last year. You’re still old, but happy birthday anyway :wink:
