I ran one of those $90 background checks on myself because I was curious what it would cover. I was happy to note that my SSN wasn’t included, but it did have my address and date of birth and a few other details.
It also had a long list of bankrupcies and what looked like defaulted rent payments from people with the same or similar names to me. That was annoying. However, there was one record that seemed to actually apply to me and it was a criminal offense. As nearly as I can figure, it was a speeding ticket I got four years ago in San Bernardino, CA, but I was told paid speeding tickets shouldn’t show up. The offense type is listed as I22356(B) VC. VC sounds suspiciously like vehicular code, but I don’t know how to look up the number. Any help?
