Online casino rips off my mom and sends virus

Memory upgrades are simple to do yourself. Generally, if you can operate a screwdriver, and you know how to “insert Tab A into Slot A” you should be fine. There are probably Youtube videos to walk you through it.

Really? I’ll have to take a look and see. I never thought about doing it myself. Thanks!

Eh…it’s easy to install, but you need to know which memory chips will properly work with your mother board. You need to know the model of your mother board and then look up compatible RAM.

Or you just google the model of PC: eMachines T6534 Memory Upgrade - eMachines T6534 eMachines Computer Memory and find dozens of listings.

It really is that easy.

To the OP, the site may be shady in the first place, but I wouldn’t think that they would intentionally target a user’s PC in order to keep someone from collecting their winnings. Too much chance of it being caught. Personally, I think this is just random chance timing.

Many times, I’d go and fix someone’s PC (as my line of work), then a day later, they get a power surge through their office, and it blows half of the computers. Did my work have anything to do with the surge? No.

Similarly, I’ve been hit a few times with viruses on my home PCs, and though I’m careful, have up to date AV systems, and am an IT professional (so I’m aware of threats, and careful), it still happens once in a while.

Because of your help, she was able to get her emails, send them a few nasty messages, and today they put $4500 into her account.

Many, many thanks!

Awesome! Glad it all worked out.

Into her bank account or into her online gambling account? Is it just play money?

Amazing!

FloatyGimpy, Amblydoper is absolutely correct in describing how easy it is to do the RAM yourself.

It is in her bank account. And for “my” help, she is paying for a spa day for the two of us.

I’m glad things worked out.

That’s great. What a happy ending!
