I enjoyed it. If I think too hard about the plot the holes become obvious, so I don’t ;-). But I didn’t pick up on who the murderer was-and the actor seemed to be having a lot of fun with it. Also enjoyed all the idiot adult sons because…they were just so weird.
I’ll watch Season 6. It’s a reliably amusing 40-ish minutes watching the interplay between the three leads.
They’ll be missing a lot if Emma Thompson doesn’t show up in there somewhere. She’s the right age for Charles and/or Oliver, and she can swing effortlessly between broad humor and steely drama.
We just finished binging Season 4, so skipping anything about 5, which we’ll get to this weekend.
Two questions:
- Where is Mabel getting at least one change of clothes a day?
- Please tell me Paul Rudd knows he is doing a really atrocious Irish accent on purpose (since he’s back season 5). “Fill-um”. (eta: loved when he put up his fists: ‘bono’ and ‘the edge’). Also, his nurse for some reason was (supposed to be) Irish and sounded more authentically Irish except she said “in the hospital” and not “in hospital” yet this is an American show so no problem there.
