oordinated with her narratives

please look at this English text …

*In her book illustrations, which she carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.
*

I did not like the above .

I did not like because of this red markers

In her book illustrations, which she carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

Can we write that red ?
by the way , what does “coordinated with her narratives” mean ?

I would love writing this way though …

*Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinated them with her narratives and capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.
*

Do you see anything wrong in my way approach ?

I like the first version much better than your version, which just sounds strange.
Means the text and image worked together.

You could simplify it by removing an unnecessary referback:

Beatrix Potter carefully coordinated her book illustrations with her narratives and capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

>>capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

what does *capitalized on *mean ? I guess capitalize means taking advantage…but this does not fit here.

I checked with define:capitalize …but none seems fit here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=define:capitalize&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

“Taking advantage” does work if you’re thinking about how she produced them. She used her love of nature and her skills of observation to assist her in creating the illustrations.
