Who would have thought that the lineup would produce against Sabathia, and Mark Buehrle would give up a seven spot? 0-1 for my White Sox. Ken Williams, you’re on notice.
Thanks for '05, but it sure would be nice to have Jon Garland going tomorrow!

Good to see that nothing has changed about my Tribe since last year. Give up a ton of runs and get a ton more. Some questionable plays, some big hits, and some homers by “who’s that guy again?” And of course a blunder by Blake followed by him winning the game.
And of course, Borowski neeearly blowing it but of course he pulls out of it at the last second.
It’s gonna be an exciting season
Well, phooey. Stupid rain. After 2.5 innings, the Cardinals are ahead 5-1, Albert Pujols has hit his first home run of the season—and then along comes the rain and none of it counts. I got enough baseball that didn’t count during Spring Training.
Man, seeing Koufax throw out the first pitch gave me chills. T’was quite the spectacle yesterday.
One thing that did make this opening day nice: No Yankees and no Red Sox. ESPN actually had to talk about the other teams.

It was a day late, but what a beautiful first game for the Yanks. Cabrera put on a highlight show with two great catches and a homer.
Wang Pitched great, Joba was fired up and Rivera looked like Rivera is suppose to look, perfect!
Hell, even Jason Giambi looked good in the field and running the bases.

Yeah, about that…
Only the Cubs, I swear.
A well-played, well-pitched non-slugfest for the Yankees. Definitely fun to watch. It occurs to me that they probably would have lost if Cabrera wasn’t appealing his suspension.
Royals are now 2-0 to start the season, for the first time since magical 2003! Hopefully this season works out even better for us than that one did!

The Rays’ magic number is 161! Woot!
As a Cubs fan, I’ll always remember stuff like:
HEY! Check out the guy in the som-bre-ro!
