Opening Thread Freezes My Browser

There is a thread in MPSIMS called something like “Daycare Just Labelled My Toddler Autistic.” I clicked on the title, and my browser froze up. Hmm.

I restarted it, figured it was a coincidence, and clicked again. The browser froze again.

I got curious, and tried clicking on the page numbers after the title. The browser froze. I tried waiting a couple of days and then clicking. The browser froze.

This has never happened with other threads, and since this one is up to two pages, clearly other people aren’t having a problem.

Any idea what might be going on?

It’s hard even to guess without knowing anything at all about your browser, computer, or operating system. There are so many permutations.

I agree with Liberal - you didn’t provide sufficient information for anyone to help you. However, to give you one data point, the thread works fine for me (Firefox 2.0.0.12, Windows XP).

No other complaints about it, so not sure what is unique to your situation and that thread.

Has this happened to you before?

TubaDiva - No, I’ve never had any trouble before, which is why I thought it was strange.

Liberal and Canadjun - I have an iBook G4, OSX 10.4.11, Firefox 2.0.0.11. Does any of that help?

In any case, if I’m the only one to have this problem, it probably isn’t worth spending a lot of time or energy on. I just wondered if someone else was also having trouble, or if there was a known bug that caused this.

The Punkyova, I’m running virtually the same configuration that you are (only difference is that I’m up to 2.0.0.12 on Firefox).

I just went and clicked on that thread and had no problems. Maybe if you move up to .12 you’ll be OK? Odd that it only freezes on one thread, though.
